Principal designer and front-end developer for multiple Angular web apps
- Created a sitemap of the current app to understand the user journey
- Researched current design trends and implemented modern design principles
- Built an Angular application for customer service representatives to search through a customer database, make changes and updates to accounts, and manage payments and violations in a UI based upon Angular Material using Typescript and Flexbox
- Built an Angular app based upon the same model as the former app for customers to make payments and view transactions and invoices
- (not finished) Built a sister Angular app for customers who sign up for an account in order to make payments, add additional vehicles to an account, edit and update vehicle and account information, view payment and transaction history, account statements, and notices using Angular Material for UI elements, flexbox for layout, and SCSS and Typescript
Budget
Overview: Designed front and section cover(s) by utilizing both a library of images, a photographer, and created graphics.
- Worked with a single stakeholder to come up with a design for the front cover of the Annual Budget
- Highlighted different aspects of the Agency
- Paid tribute to the latest turnpike that opened
Oklahoma Transportation App Update
Overview: Created a presentation for the proposed combined parternship between ODOT & OTA and what that would look like graphically and also what an updated version of the app would look like.
- Created multiple "combination" logos for ODOT & OTA
- Created updated screens and menus for the ODOT App
- Created a loading animation from the updated logo
- Implemented the new logo and color scheme throughout the app
Annual Report
Overview: I was tasked with collaborating with current stakeholders to gather requirements for both the artistic/graphic components of the Annual report and all of the content/copy that would be used within the report. The "creative" parts of the report included the front and back cover, along with section covers and other designed graphics used throughout the report. I played a vital role in the modernization of the cover designs during my time there.
- Created a process to obtain the information needed for the report from different departments and stakeholders.
- Worked with a photographer to get specific shots, and also went out to job sites and got photographs.
- Received final approvals from challenging stakeholders.
- Created an InDesign file to be packaged and sent to the printers.
- Worked with the printer to finalized and approve proofs.
Redesigned Websites, Landing Pages & Emails
Overview: Used Illustrator to create mock-ups of updated designs of different websites.
- Collaborated with stakeholders to gather design requirements
- Applied Illustrator to create mock-ups and get approvals
- Began development by using the Angular framework and SCSS for styles
- Provided code and worked directly with the back-end developer to wire up components
